About Us
Owners Bud and Vonda LaFever opened Flowers, Etc. over 16 years ago and have a combined 50 years in the floral business. Vonda was inducted into the American Institute of Floral Designers (AIFD) in 1989, and is active in product development in Hong Kong, as well as a Regional Unit Director for Teleflora.
Prior to opening Flowers, Etc., Bud had been a marketing administrator for a Fortune 500 company and involved in the wholesale florist business. Flowers, Etc. is affiliated with the Teleflora Wire Service, and thus has the ability to send guaranteed satisfaction orders throughout the country or the world. We deliver in a 25 mile radius of Dixon, located in Lee County, in North Central Illinois.
Bud LaFever, co-founder of Flowers, Etc. passed away in August of 2006. At that time Karla Knack Brooks began assisting Vonda. In March 2009, Karla and Everette Brooks became the new owners of the shop.
Both Karla and Everette have owned their own businesses being Walter C. Knack Company and Brooks Drug Store bringing them close to 60 years of managerial, marketing and customer service experience.
Flowers, Etc. has retained their superior staff and look forward to servicing our community and continue eloquent excellence in Flower design.
